The Toronto Maple Leafs are hoping to bring in Josh Gorges via trade with the Canadiens, but he will have to completely change his mind in order for that to happen, after nixing the deal, by not waiving his no trade clause. Josh Gorges will likely not be in Toronto unless both sides can push him to join Toronto.
If he does not join Toronto, however, the Maple Leafs will try to go after a defenseman. The team, according to Darren Dreger of TSN, will look to target Dan Boyle or Stephane Robidas. The Maple Leafs need blue liners, and men on the penalty kill, and if they could pick up Boyle, it might be a good thing that Gorges didn’t waive his no trade clause.
