MLB DK Play of the Day: Corey Seager

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager consistently finds himself among the most appealing plays in terms of shortstops in daily fantasy.  When you’re looking for players to start in your lineup, you typically search for a few different factors.  Among those are splits, recent games, and price.

Seager is typically someone who you can play to your advantage in terms of splits and that’s true again tonight.  The majority of pitchers in baseball are right-handed and because of the need to field with your right hand at the shortstop position, most shortstops don’t have the splits advantage when they face right-handed pitchers.  Seager does because he hits left handed.  His weighted on base percentage tonight is .381 as he’s facing a subpar righty pitcher in Tyler Chatwood.

Our threshold for Seager being played is usually around $4,500 DraftKings dollars and tonight he falls $300 short of that number, making him a quality play.

Other Intriguing Dodgers plays: Joc Pederson, Yasmani Grandal, Chase Utley
