I’m looking this based on a who fits and who does not basis for the Los Angeles Lakers. This team still has needs, but it’s obvious they don’t have a ton of cap space after making moves to get Jeremy Lin, and retain Nick Young, and Jordan Hill. The Lakers could still find a way to get rid of Steve Nash, especially with a first round pick from the Rockets this year, so I’m not considering the cap issues too much in this post, but looking at it more from the stand point of who fits our needs, and who makes the most sense for the Lakers. Hope you enjoy!
1. Lance Stephenson
Lance Stephenson makes a ton of sense for the Los Angeles Lakers. This team has to find a way to make a splash, and since they can’t attract proven max players to Los Angeles, they may want to bring in a player, who will time, will prove that he is a max guy. Lance Stephenson fits that bill, as the Lakers would be paying him more for future production, and basically getting a guy with max skill-set, before he becomes a max guy, and would probably lose interest in Los Angeles down the road.
Yes, it appears to be that bad in Los Angeles as far as shelling out money to max players goes.
