With the 6th overall selection in the 2014 NBA Draft the Boston Celtics selected Oklahoma State point guard Marcus Smart. Had Smart entered the draft last year as a freshman, he would’ve most likely been selected 1st overall. Smart is a point guard by nature but could play shooting guard in the NBA. Smart is a very talented scorer who put up big numbers in college. The bigger storyline is what happens now to Rajon Rondo? A trade could be in the works to get the all-star point guard out of Boston. Wasn’t it just a few years ago that the Big 3 disassembled to make Boston Rondo’s team? So if the Celtics are really interested in trading Rondo, what are the best destinations for him?
3. Houston Rockets
Why: Houston is always looking to make a big splash and need point guard help, by getting rid of Omer Asik the Rockets cleared more cap room that could see them land a big name player such as Rondo.
