The women’s Royal Rumble made history tonight as the main event of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and former WWE superstar Lita made history along with it.
The event included many high-profile entrances. Ronda Rousey was the most notorious reutrned. However, she entered after the match was over in order to signal her interest in a fight at Wrestlemania.
As for the returns, a few WWE old-timers made their way to the ring. Torrie Wilson, Kelly Kelly, Trish Stratus and Lita each found their way into the rumble.
Lita, Amy Dumas in real life, caused the first ever elimination in a women’s Royal Rumble match. This was likely a one-day deal for the four-time champion, but it was still a highlight of the match and will help solidify the success of this first women’s rumble.
Here was the return in GIF form:

Lita was donning the #TimesUp hashtag in solidarity with the current movement that is seeking to combat sexual violence:
Between Lita repping #TimesUp and wearing Chyna + Luna tributes on her arm and what the first ever women’s Royal Rumble is doing to bring back older-gen wrestlers I’m actually getting emotional https://t.co/ss9mgxgA7j

Doug made an astute observation too, referencing the Royal Rumble’s largest competition of the night.
Seems most tweets tonight are about the Grammys or the Royal Rumble. We are indeed a nation divided between our love for Lita and Childish Gambino.

Now, for just a little more Lita love:
Best part of the women’s Rumble was seeing Lita wrestle again!
